Square Enix Announces Kingdom Hearts: 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
...isn't that a bit of a misnomer?
09.16.15 - 7:02 PM

During Sony's Press Conference at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix unveiled the latest HD compilation of Kingdom Hearts titles. Dubbed Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, this collection will include an HD version of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, as well as a "new HD movie" featuring the story of the Forerunners in Kingdom Hearts Chi: Back Cover, and a completely new playable episode entitled Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage.

Of these, A Fragmentary Passage is perhaps the most curious, as it stars Aqua, one of the protagonists from the PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. It will supposedly tie into the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III. No release date was given as of yet, but you can watch the announcement trailer below.

If you're curious as to what we thought about the original Kingdom Hearts: Dream, Drop, Distance, you can read resident Keyblade Master Stephen's review of it here.
