Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Will Use the Tech From Kingdom Hearts III
It's like a demo with extra story content!
09.23.15 - 2:44 AM

The recently announced Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (whew!) comes with a playable teaser for the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III entitled Kingdom Hearts 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage (seriously, where do they come up with these names?). This special episode follows Aqua in the immediate aftermath of Birth by Sleep Final Mix's secret episode as she wanders the World of Darkness. According to Tetsuya Nomura, 0.2 will use the technology from Kingdom Hearts III, which is why this collection is being released on PS4 instead of PS3.

The total volume of 0.2 will be about the length of an ordinary Kingdom Hearts world. Nomura also confirmed that Dream, Drop, Distance HD will essentially be a remake of the original, due to the 3DS game's heavy use of the dual screens and touch controls. There is currently no release window for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, but we'll keep you posted as we find out more.
