Meet the Cast of Dragon Quest Heroes in this New Trailer
I have to say, I have a soft spot for Yangus.

The release of the upcoming PlayStation 4 action-RPG, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, is right around the corner and Square Enix has provided a new trailer to introduce all of the proclaimed "heroes."

The New Heroes:

  • Luceus
  • Aurora
  • King Doric
  • Isla
  • Healix (non-playable)

The Old Heroes:

  • Maya (DQ IV)
  • Alena (DQ IV)
  • Kiryl (DQ IV)
  • Bianca (DQ V)
  • Nera (DQ V)
  • Terry (DQ VI)
  • Jessica (DQ VIII)
  • Yangus (DQ VIII)

The trailer also explains the role of "Monster Medals" in the game; they will be random drops from enemies and using them in battle will summon that enemy to your aid. Another highlighted feature is the importance of upgrading and buying new gear.

While this game is full of heroes, the Japanese voice actor for Luceus has confirmed that he won't be in Dragon Quest Heroes II and that has lead fans to suspect that none of the original characters designed specifically for Dragon Quest Heroes will be in the next game.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below will be available on October 13th for the PlayStation 4.
