New Yo-Kai Watch Trailer Details Gameplay and Battles
Get ready to learn the names of another 200+ monsters.
10.23.15 - 4:24 PM

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Level 5's Yo-Kai Watch to introduce the major gameplay elements before its release this holiday season.

Yo-Kai Watch is first and foremost a monster-collection game in the vein of Pokémon. However, unlike Pokémon, Yo-Kai aren't restricted to tall grass, they are found all around town and some especially tricky Yo-Kai "inspirit" humans. Using the Yo-Kai Watch, it's your job to seek out these beings and add their unique medals to your collection. You use the medals to summon your Yo-Kai to battle.

The battle system takes advantage of the 3DS' touchscreen and has you doing little mini-game-like tasks to power up certain moves. The demo is now available on the eShop so you can try the game out for yourself.

Yo-Kai Watch is coming out in North America on November 6th for the Nintendo 3DS.
