Bust out those relic weapons, the grind is back!
12.12.15 - 5:23 PM
Even though we are only one month into the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward's patch 3.1, patch 3.15 is right around the corner on December 16th. Normally patches that fall between big content patches are small with only hotfixes and balance adjustments, but patch 3.15 is bringing back the return of the long awaited relic weapon quest line and maybe the return of certain manly inspector. The new line of relic weapons will be called "Anima" weapons this time around. What we know so far about them is very little outside of a few pieces of concept art from a previous live letter, and a short blurb with a few pictures from the recent Anima weapon preview off the Lodestone. You can check out that preview below.
A young researcher hailing from the Near East has come to Eorzea in search of aid. His field of study? Anima, an essence he considers to be a reflection of the soul. Through a chance encounter with the master craftsman Gerolt, he and the legendary blacksmith have joined forces to create a weapon the likes of which the realm has never seen.
After the truth of Ishgard's history is revealed, the students of the Holy See’s finest seminary find themselves in a precarious position. The Warrior of Light joins a familiar face in investigating the trials and tribulations of the future clergymen and women.
Square Enix has also announced the release of the second artbook for Final Fantasy XIV titled "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward The Art of Ishgard – Stone and Steel". The artbook is scheduled for release in North America this February, and those that snag themselves a copy with also receive a Wind-up Relm minion from Final Fantasy VI.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward patch 3.15 hits December 16th, and the next Letter to the Producer Live is scheduled for December 23rd so don't miss it.
