Atlus recently updated Persona 5's official website
to reflect the newly introduced cast members that were highlighted in the recent trailer
. The 3 new playable characters are Makoto, Futaba, and Haru, and they have all been given official descriptions, artwork, and information on their starting Personas.
Makato is a third-year at Syujin High School, the same high school the main protagonist attends. She not only excels in her studies, but also as the student council president. With a strong sense of responsibility she can often be to serious and her ability to compromise with others suffers becasue of it. She eventually has to deal with her own troubles which leads to the awakening of her Persona, Joanna. Makato will be voiced by Rina Sato.
Joanna has a unique motorcycle like design, but what really stands out is the human head at the front of the bike. Joanna is named after Pope Joan, who is the supposedly the first female Pope that lead the church during the Middle Ages, if the legends are believed to be true.
Futaba is genius when it comes to math and programming, but totally clueless when it comes to communicating with others which has lead to her shut-in lifestyle after a certain incident. She is supposed to be a first-year high school student, but due to her shut-in nature she no longer attends school. Futaba will be voiced by Aoi Yuki
Shaped like a UFO and named after the powerful grimoire of legend, Necronomicon seems to have the power to identify and assist the party with information on the battlefield. Necronomicon really shows off Futaba's unknown power.
Another third-year high school student at Syujin High School, Haru is the daughter of the president of a major restaurant company. She has grown up in a wealthy household, and shows this in her elegant demeanor. Although she excels at communication with others, Haru herself finds no value in relationships with other people. She often avoids close relationships, and would rather observe others from afar. Haru is voiced by Haruka Tomatsu.
Milady (tips his cap) is a Persona who wears a beautiful dress with embroidered lilies. Underneath this dress however is a powerful weapon which she uses to dispatch her enemies. Milady gets her name from the woman who appears in the Three Musketeers.
Persona 5 is due out in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on September 15th, and in North America later this year.
