Final Fantasy XV's Release Date Event Had 1.2 Million Viewers
You could call that a success.
06.12.16 - 2:19 PM

Remember how different the world was when we didn't know the release date to Final Fantasy XV? The game has been in development for a very long time so when Square Enix held the Uncovered event to offer up new reveals and a release date, 1.2 million eager gamers tuned in. This number comes from Kenwood Experiences, the company that planned the event and their press release says they had viewers from around the globe, including from China. Whether or not that 1.2 million translates to an equal amount of sales is yet to be seen, but the event served its purpose of getting the word out and making over one million nerds squeal in excitement.
