World of Warcraft Getting Huge Patch in Preparation for ExpansionBlizzard's still working tirelessly on this timeless game.07.19.16 - 1:15 AM
Blizzard is enacting changes to World of Warcraft
with a massive patch due on July 19, in preparation for the game's sixth expansion pack, World of Warcraft: Legion
. The changes in the patch will be made to your game of WoW
even if you don't purchase the expansion.
The biggest part of the patch is it will make the classes more distinguishable, replacing their generic abilities with more iconic ones. For specifics on the changes made to each class, click here. Blizzard gives detailed descriptions.
Blizzard also made a statement that clarifies their changes, "We're making some significant changes to classes and their specs for Legion to further strengthen their identities. The core changes to spells, talents, and more are going into effect as soon as the pre-expansion patch goes live."
Those who fear that there will be a drought of content between this patch and the expansion, have nothing to worry about. Blizzard said that they plan to release more content between the huge patch, and the even bigger expansion due out on August 30th. One piece of that content is the opportunity to play as a Demon Hunter before August 17th if you pre-purchase World of Warcraft: Legion (you must also be at least level 98 to play as a Demon Hunter). These are exciting times for WoW fans — get to pre-purchasing!
Look forward to the copious class changes in the pre-expansion patch on July 19th. Then, get ready to scour dungeons and fight legions of monsters when World of Warcraft: Legion releases on August 30th for PC. Keep checking RPGFan for updates on the future of WoW.
