The Silver Case Hands-On Preview
Two thousand zero zero party over, oops, out of time.
08.18.16 - 2:04 PM

It's not often that we see 17-year-old Playstation 1 games get re-released to Steam, and that goes double for Japan-only text-heavy adventure games. But truth is stranger than fiction, because that's exactly what's about to happen when Grasshopper Manufacture's debut The Silver Case hits Steam and Playism this autumn.

Notably the first game directed by Suda 51 after going independent, The Silver Case takes players back to an alternate 1999 in which Tokyo has been split into 24 distinct wards, and a politically-motivated serial killer named Kamui is on the loose. Hot on Kamui's heels are the 24 Wards Heinous Crimes Unit, whose point of view the game takes place from.

The Silver Case doesn't have a hard release date yet, but Grasshopper have released the game's Bitsummit 2016 demo to Steam. You can download it yourself, but you might also enjoy my take on it. Click below to check out my hands-on preview.
