Square Enix Trademarks New Title Translated as "You and the Foggy Labyrinth"
Another possible throwback RPG?
08.18.16 - 11:55 PM

Square Enix' Japanese division has trademarked the title Kimi to Kiri no Labyrinth translated to English as You and the Foggy Labyrinth. The title sounds similar to I Am Setsuna's Japanese title Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna, leading to speculation that it may be Tokyo RPG Factory's next project.

New Square Enix game

If the trademark is a Tokyo RPG Factory project, we can expect another retro-styled RPG in the future. It could be inspired by another one of Square Enix' catalogue of RPGs or a completely new concept. The studio has said that it's goal was to bring back the "good old days" of RPG's and its debut project I Am Setsuna was inspired by the classic Chrono Trigger. To see what we thought about it, check out Derek's and Rob's reviews.
