Retro Encounter Bonus Round: Dreamcast Encounter
Celebrating Sega's swansong
09.07.16 - 10:11 PM

Ahh, the Dreamcast. We all hold this Sega console very dearly, but it tried to do too much and was perhaps far too ahead of its time. Although not particularly well know for its variety of RPGs, the Retro Encounter crew have managed to dig into the Dreamcast's backlog to talk about some of the greats. With me on the show, you can bet Skies of Arcadia gets just a small mention, but lets not forget Grandia II, Shenmue, and Phantasy Star Online. And you might just discover a new and exciting game along the way.

Join Retro Encounter as we celebrate Sega's final console.

Retro Encounter Bonus Round: Dreamcast Encounter

Retro Encounter looks back fondly on Sega's last games console. The Dreamcast had a limited library of RPGs, but the ones it did have certainly didn't disappoint. It branched out into online gaming at a time where it seemed impossible. The Retro Crew look back at the console's classic RPGs and what makes them so great, as well as unearth some hidden gems. Just how well do these games still hold up? And was the Dreamcast too much too soon?
