Nier: Automata Cover and PlayStation Pod Skin Revealed
Paying tribute to past consoles.
11.08.16 - 9:01 PM

Square Enix has revealed the Japanese cover for the upcoming Nier:Automata and it looks incredible. Designed by game artist Akihiko Yoshida, it'll make a beautiful addition to your shelves or digital library. No guarantees we will have the same cover in the West, but if not, hopefully we get one that looks just as impressive.

The company went on to reveal the Japanese PlayStation store pre-order bonus via press release. The bonus is a skin for the pod titled 'game machine', a clear homage to the original PlayStation. The retro game console tribute doesn't end there, as there are two more skins based off the Super Famicom and Sega Master System. These will be distributed by third party retailers that have yet to be revealed. See the Super Famicom and Master System images here
