Week in Review, 6/30/2017
Happy 4th of July!
06.30.17 - 8:32 PM

I hope everyone enjoyed all our E3 coverage, and we will be bringing you a wrap-up of all the awesome stuff that the RPGFan crew got to experience on the show floor, but until then we still have a bunch of news and reviews to cover. This week we have two reviews from Nicholas Ransbottom, and news from Peter Triezenberg, Chris Gebauer, and John Alas.

Story by Peter Triezenberg

Are my eyes deceiving me? Bandai Namco did not forget about the awesome .hack games and will be giving them an HD facelift? Yes, it is true, and if you never got to experience the G.U. trilogy on the PS2, then this is a great chance to experience an amazing RPG series. And you never know if it sells well maybe we will finally get another installment in the series.

Story by Chris Gebauer

If there is one man to call on if you ever need character designs for a mysterious organization, then it most definitely is Tetsuya Nomura. The fact that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is coming out this year is already great news, and now it got even better to hear that Nomura will be doing character designs for the game. I am expecting a minimum of 10 belts and zippers per character.

Review by Nicholas Ransbottom

I know a lot of people would love to design their own RPG and have other people enjoy it. The RPG Maker games have always allowed players to experience this creative process and now it has gotten even better with RPG Maker Fes on the 3DS. The first question on your mind is just how someone could create an RPG on their 3DS? Well, check out Nicholas Ransbottom's review to get all the details.

Oh, it wouldn't be Week in Review without at least one story about Final Fantasy XV, and with the recently released Episode Promoto DLC, Square Enix is now pushing the last of the character DLCs with Episode Ignis. I am still hoping that it is going to be a cooking game, but I don't think that's what were going to get. Also, the game got a new update with 1.12 which lets you drive off the road now with hilarious results.

Speaking of Episode Prompto, we have a very timely review to see if this DLC is worth picking up. Everybody's favorite shutterbug gets a DLC where you don't actually get to use the camera, but you do get to shoot people in 3rd person action gameplay. It's a shame too I would totally play Final Fantasy XV Snap. Check out Nicholas Ransbottom's review for all your Prompto needs.

And that's a wrap for this week. Be sure to check back on the front page for all your RPG news and reviews.
