I can wait for all these games, I think.
07.28.17 - 10:53 PM

All good things come in time, both in life and in video games, and the RPG news this week has been amazing and worth waiting for. But you don't need to wait, because we got them all together for you here! So check out news stories from Mike Salbato, John Alas, and Peter Triezenberg, and reviews from Caitlin Argyros and Nicholas Ransbottom.

Review by Nicholas Ransbottom

Final Fantasy XII is a long game with a massive world, and trust me when I say it takes some time to get around to checking everything out. And when you are playing a new updated version of the game it takes even longer, but Nick Ransbottom persevered and finished this behemoth of a game to bring everyone this great review.

Yes, it's finally been announced that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will make its way to the west next year, but we still don't know what systems will get the localization. Will it be on PS4, 3DS, Switch or all 3? Your guess is as good as mine, but I think we can all be happy that we will be getting it in some kind of capacity, and that's good enough for me.

Ever sit and play Final Fantasy XV and say to yourself, "I wish this game had multiplayer?" Well, sometimes I did, and if you did too then, you're in luck since you can now play Final Fantasy XV with your friends with the new multiplayer mode "Comrades." The beta starts soon, so if you picked up that season pass you'd be able to check it out and give feedback to the devs.

If you enjoyed I am Setsuna then you're sure to enjoy Tokyo RPG Factory's second work, Lost Sphear. The best thing is that you won't have to wait long as the game finally got a western release date for January. I know I am looking forward to more of that beautiful music from I am Setsuna, but this time around I hope there is a lot less snow in the game.

I don't know if there are any more words left to describe the awesomeness that is the Falcom Sound Team JDK but Caitlin Argyros most certainly did in her review of the rails of Cold Steel II soundtrack. We loved the game, but did we love the soundtrack? Of course we did, it.s amazing: check out her review for all the details.

Story by John Alas

Speaking of Trails of Cold Steel, the first game in the series is finally making its way to PC in an upgraded and remastered version of the game. It has tons of new voiced dialogue, updated graphics and a ton of optimizations. It's never too late to get into the Trails series, and now it's more accessible than ever so make sure to check it out.
