Shin Megami Tensei V Announced for Nintendo Switch
THANK YOU ATLUS.
10.23.17 - 12:01 PM

When the Switch was first announced and shown off to the public during the January 12, 2017 Nintendo Switch Presentation, RPG development haven Atlus announced Shin Megami Tensei HD Project for the yet to be released console. After many a month with very little to go on, we now know what that HD hybrid console project is: Shin Megami Tensei V, and it's coming only (so far!) to Switch.

A new teaser trailer for the game (found above) was revealed following the 'SMT 25th Anniversary Chaos Side' concert live stream on October 23rd during a separate live stream called 'Shin Megami Tensei Latest Title'.....a little on the nose with the naming convention but I WILL TAKE IT.

Shin Megami Tensei V

Based on the trailer (and the Atlus trailer description) the game takes place in modern Japan, it will involve high school students, and there are demons to be slain: so it is a Shin Megami Tensei game. Get hyped, people.

Shin Megami Tensei V

Famitsu has let it be known that their upcoming issue of Famitsu Weekly (#1508) will feature a Shin Megami Tensei series cover as well as house a SMT V developer interview within its pages. Here's hoping for an info dump and release date.
