Valkyria Chronicles 4 Announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch Time for a proper homecoming. 11.19.17 - 10:31 PM
Last week, a new Valkyria project was teased by Sega. The company has now confirmed that this new title is, in fact, Valkyria Chronicles 4, which will be released worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch next year.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 takes place during the same timeframe as the original Valkyria Chronicles, but focuses on a new cast of characters as they strike out for the northern front of the Second Europan War. Commander Claude Wallace will lead the various members of Squad E into battle, including engineer Riley Miller, a "hotheaded" Darcsen named Raz, and sniper Kai Schulen. Together, they will experience "the painful realities of war."
The BLiTZ battle system will make its triumphant return, as will the CANVAS art style the series is known for. Hitoshi Sakimoto will also be returning to score the game's music. After the disappointing Valkyria Revolution, it's exciting to see such a potential return to form for the Valkyria series. Check out the announcement trailer and official synopsis below, and stay tuned to RPGFan for more details.
