There's Something About Maduin: The Underappreciated Summons of Final Fantasy
The Magun... has moved.
12.29.17 - 5:54 PM

Who remembers Final Fantasy Unlimited? We haven't had a chance to cover it in this feature, but what better way to introduce this piece than with the coolest aspect of that anime series - the summoning.

Throughout Final Fantasy history you've got your Bahamuts and your Shivas, and sure they're great, but let's talk about some of the ones not often spoken of. I spent some time digging through the past so I could talk about some of my favourite summons, as well as some of the more interesting ones that time has forgotten in There's Something About Maduin: The Underappreciated Summons of Final Fantasy.

Some of these aren't necessarily forgotten or underappreciated, but I think they deserve more time in the limelight. A couple of my favourites also snuck into this overview as well, so I hope enjoy reading about holy castles, evil trains and sky whales!
