Better late than never, or so the saying goes: the RPGFan news train chugs on regardless, and today we have our weekly recap of last week's highlights. Today's news stories come to you from myself, Trent Argirov, and Gino DiGioia. We also have a review from the illustrious Alana Hagues! So without further ado...

The original Pillars of Eternity was a landmark game, as one of the most notable crowdfunding success stories as well as an excellent throwback to the CRPGs of yore with its own richly constructed mythology to draw players into its world. Now PC gamers can experience the sequel, Deadfire, while console players can look forward to playing it in the near future. Inquire within!

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

Review by Alana Hagues

Vanillaware is in the business of making excellent, gorgeous beat-em-ups and they've done a good job of making their classic titles available to modern audiences. Remasters of Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Odin Sphere have been released to great acclaim, and now it's Dragon's Crown's turn. But what does Alana think of this remaster? Read her review to find out.

Story by Gino DiGioia

I must admit, every time I hear something new about the Trails of Cold Steel games, part of me wants to go back and give Legend of Heroes another shot in general. These games, with their meticulous world-building and dramatic scores, have scratched a particular itch with RPG enthusiasts, and now we must wait patiently for somebody (hopefully XSEED) to bring the latest entries in the saga stateside. Gino has the latest details on Trails of Cold Steel IV within.

With every new patch comes a significant wealth of content, and Patch 4.3 is on its way. Read the story to find out more.
