Burly men fighting monsters.

Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the current edition of Coming This Week, your favorite column where we briefly go over the latest game releases. This week there are some interesting selections: a new Monster Hunter game (or, at least, an enhanced port of an old one!) is coming to Switch, there's a new Yakuza game coming out (okay, a remake of an old one... I'm sensing a pattern here), and more! So, onward:

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate - Switch (August 28th)

Okay, it's no Monster Hunter: World, but even an enhanced port of the 3DS game Monster Hunter Generations (which in itself was kind of a greatest hits album for the Monster Hunter franchise) is still bound to be a good time on the Nintendo Switch. If you're looking for portable monster slaying action, Capcom has you covered when Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate releases this week.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 - PS4 (August 28th)

Kazuma Kiryu is back, baby! Well, he never really left, if we're being honest. The Yakuza franchise's resurgence on modern consoles continues with this remake of Yakuza 2, so now everyone can re-experience this chapter in Kiryu's ongoing saga. Now with 100% more Majima!

Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1 - Switch (August 28th)

Just in time for the final season, we have the release of all episodes in Season 1 of Telltale's cornerstone series for the Nintendo Switch. Whether you're interested in replaying from the beginning before jumping into the finale, or wanting to try the series on Switch, it's there for you. Here's our review of the initial season, and one for the latest installment in the whole series.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - PS4, XB1 (August 31st)

Last, but not least, we have an enhanced port of the critically acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin 2. The Definitive Edition brings the adventure to consoles, along with a host of improvements to the core experience. This includes a substantial rewrite to the game's final act, with new voice acting, and so much more. If you're curious about the original game, we have a review of it by Bob Richardson.

And that's a wrap for this week. As always, stay tuned to RPGFan for continued RPG coverage, and we'll see you next week!
