A gift for VGM lovers everywhere!
09.08.18 - 12:05 PM

On September 3rd, the Kickstarter funded orchestral version of the Suikoden II soundtrack reached its original funding goal of $15,000 USD! The album, which is being created by VGM Classics, intends to bring the ethnic and unique music of Suikoden II to modern listeners, fully re-recorded in crisp high definition. Composer Kentaro Sato, who composed the music for DISSIDIA Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Type-0, is set to lead the orchestra, which is prospectively set to be the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.

As of this writing, backers have pledged $22,800 USD, enough to create a medium sized album that will contain between 20 to 36 minutes of music. At $27,500 USD, VGM Classics plans to upgrade the album to a full album with 30 to 54 minutes of music. And at the final stretch goal of $40,000 USD, VGM Classics plans to release an extended album containing between 40 and 72 minutes of sweet sweet Suikoden II music! The Kickstarter ends on September 20th, so make sure to pledge!
