Meet the Members of ABIS from AI: The Somnium Files
New details on the next title from the director of the Zero Escape series!

Spike Chunsoft has revealed new character information from upcoming adventure title AI: The Somnium Files from Zero Escape series director Kotaro Uchikoshi. Each member of the newly introduced quartet of characters is part of the Metropolitan Police Department's secret ABIS unit.

Kaname Date

As a Psyncer, Date uses the Psync machine to dive into the minds of suspects or persons of interest. He lost his eye six years ago, but replaced it with a prosthetic eye which houses an advanced artificial intelligence known as an AI-Ball. He also lost all his memories past six years ago.

An artificial eye equipped with an AI that usually resides in Date's left eye socket. Her consciousness and Date's are linked. In the real world, she looks like a small animal. However, when Date Psyncs to enter Somnia, she takes on a human form.

Boss is Date's direct superior and long-time friend. She appears to be an easygoing optimist with a carefree attitude, but she is as cunning as a fox with a quick wit.

Pewter is ABIS's engineer and a brilliant scientist. Currently, he is responsible for maintaining the Psync machine and preparing Psyncs. He also invented Aiba (and set her personality to his liking).

This neo-noir adventure title follows Kaname Date as he follows the case of a serial killer in near-future Tokyo. To uncover the truth, he must not only collect evidence and examine crime scenes, but also infiltrate dreams to uncover the facts he needs to catch the murderer.

AI: The Somnium Files will release worldwide on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam on July 25th. The limited Special Agent Edition is available for pre-order now and includes an acrylic A-set acrylic stand, artbook, soundtrack, vinyl stickers, special outer box, and a copy of the game for either PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch.
