Publisher NIS America announced, during PAX South 2020, that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will be coming to PC systems on March 23rd, via the Steam and GOG storefronts. Check out the announcement trailer below!
The PC version of this nation-wide story is being ported by Engine Software and PH3 Games, showcased above to include a bevy of technical improvements native to the PC system, such as customizable key-bindings, display support, graphics and anti-aliasing customization alongside others. Players who purchase The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III before March 30th will also gain access to a bevy of cosmetic DLC, allowing party members aesthetic to be customized in color, tone and aesthetic.
Seminal series protagonist Rean Schwarzer, graduated and educated, is at the center of the story, unveiling conspiracy and touring across the nation of Erebonia whilst teaching an entirely new Class VII the geopolitical ropes, amidst the backdrop and civil conflicts of the previous entries in the series. As it stands, a seminal series at the Legend of Heroes deserves to be experienced by as many willing players, and I believe the move of NIS America and Falcom to do so, with experienced hands, is only a good one.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III is available now for PlayStation 4 in Japan, North America, and Europe.
