Publisher En Masse Entertainment and developer BonusXP have released a new trailer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, the tie-in strategy RPG set in the same universe as both the seminal 1982 movie 'The Dark Crystal' and its 2019 prequel series 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The trailer confirms that pre-purchases for the title are now available for interested players. Check it out below!
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is set to release on February 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and macOS systems, via the Steam, GOG, and En Masse Launcher storefronts and applications. However, pre-purchases can only be obtained on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and macOS systems, with the PlayStation 4 version to be purchased only on the title's release.
The strategy-RPG itself will thread itself through over 50 missions, guiding players through the arc of the prequel Netflix series, while hearkening to its various luminaries in the genre, with both turn-based battles, job systems, and a New Game + mode to allow the opportunity for replayability at an intrinsic level, as the Gelfing resistance fight the Skesis, their unruly and vicious overlords. As someone interested in both the genre of strategy-RPG and the idea of movie and television properties being adapted into games, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics seems like something to dip time into, for both fans and novices of the lore alike.
