Valentine's Day is usually all about the candy and flowers, but this year you can get your sweetheart something with a bit more substance: a JRPG turn-based strategy game. Publisher CE-Asia and developer Azure Studio are releasing Banner of the Maid, a game set in an alternate French Revolution time period with fantasy elements and an anime art style.

Check out the Banner of the Maid English trailer here:

Players will take on the role of young French military officer Pauline Bonaparte, and lead troops to victory while also navigating the complex political landscape of Paris in the late 18th century. Pauline is more than just a military strategist - she's also a Maid - a woman of mysterious power who is capable of single-handedly turning the tide of battle. As Pauline, players will lead troops into skirmishes across more than 30 different terrains, including cities, plains, mountains and more. The game also features famous historical figures like Desaix, Murat, and Lannes, all with different backgrounds and skills that can be developed with experience.

The game will be available on Steam for Windows PCs for $16.99 on February 14th.
