Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Free Post-Launch Content Updates Detailed for PC and Consoles

Updates galore on the way to Monster Hunter World players on all platforms!

With the recent release of Monster Hunter World's Iceborne expansion on PC in the wild, Capcom has announced a content roadmap for content updates coming to the game in the coming months. Beginning in February, PC players can look forward to exciting additions from new monsters to collaboration events, and even a new post-game region to explore. Beginning with the first update on February 6th, players will be able to undertake a mission to hunt the ferocious fan-favorite Rajang, as well as becoming able to explore a new Volcanic Region which will be added to the endgame's Guiding Lands area.

In addition, the residents of Raccoon City, the famed setting of some entries in the Resident Evil series, will bring a long-awaited crossover event to the Iceborne expansion on PC. Leon, Claire, and Tyrant will all make an appearance, with players also having the ability to gather the necessary materials to craft the Leon α+ and Claire α+ armor sets, and three Raccoon City-themed pendants to adorn their weapons with.

The first update for the PC version will bring along new paid DLC options for room decor, the ability to visit other players' rooms, and limited-time quests that will provide materials needed to craft the Hunter Weapon and Palico armor and weapon which were created by winners of the Design Contest.

More updates are on the way in the future, too, with an update planned for March 12th which will add the Stygian Zinogre, a frozen Tundra Region to the Guiding Lands, and even more bone-chilling monsters to the game's line-up.

From February to March, console players will receive new limited-time event quests that will increase their chances of encountering gigantic gold crown monsters, obtaining new decorations and Spiritvein Gems along the way. A new update, arriving in March for console versions and in April for PC, will also add two new variant monsters to Iceborne and Arch-Tempered and Master Rank versions of existing monsters, with a fan-favorite monster following shortly as part of a May update. Beginning in April, PC and console updates are planned to sync, with more monsters and updates continuing into June and beyond.

The Appreciation Fest brings celebration to Monster Hunter World players everywhere, just in time for the game's second anniversary!

Finally, from January 23rd through February 13th, Hunters everywhere can join to celebrate the game's second anniversary in either the Grand Appreciation Fest for players with the Iceborne DLC or in the returning Appreciation Fest which is held the Astera Gathering Hub for all players. Another limited-time event, the Holiday Joy Fest, will be available to PC players beginning in late February, offering the chance to get new layered armor, handler outfit, Poogie clothing, and more, so be sure not to miss out!
