Square Enix has released a demo of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is now available on the PlayStation Store to download. Check out the trailer below to see what lies ahead of the first installment's release.
The demo consists of the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission and features Cloud and Barret as playable characters. Square Enix noted that save data from the demo will not carry over to the full game and that the demo may differ from the mission in the final release.
However, there will be an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme given to players who download the demo before May 11th. The theme will be available alongside the game's launch.
In other Remake news, in interview with the game's co-director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Red XIII is not playable in the remake's first installment. Instead, he will be featured as a guest character later in the story.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is due for PlayStation 4 on April 10th. Stay tuned to RPGFan for updates on all things Final Fantasy.
