03.10.20 - 2:28 PM

After a successful closed beta, Phantasy Star Online 2 is launching an open beta for Xbox One next week, on March 17th! The beta will start at 5 p.m. PDT that day, but players will be able to download the client from the Microsoft Store starting at 10 a.m. PDT on March 16th.

Phantasy Star Online 2

At first, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be composed of the game's first three episodes, which is three years worth of content! All quality of life updates made to the Japanese version over the years will be included from the get go. Players logging in for the first time will be rewarded with a plethora of freebies, such as gunblades, rifles, rods and other items. The open beta, as well as the full game, includes English text and voice acting.

Phantasy Star Online 2 releases for Xbox One and PC this spring. You can read our impressions on the closed beta here.
