Following the recent Letter from the Producer Live broadcast with producer and director Naoki Yoshida, the upcoming update for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, patch 5.3 - Reflections in Crystal, will be available this summer. This update brings back the popular NieR series crossover with a new chapter in the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series titled The Puppets' Bunker, in addition to a wealth of other updates which are detailed below.
Players can look forward to enjoying the latest additions to Final Fantasy XIV's story with newly added mainline quest scenarios wrapping up the final act of Shadowbringers. Additionally, A Realm Reborn's main scenario has been overhauled, offering new players a more streamlined experience as they begin their adventures in Eorzea. This massive update will also add a new trial, Beast Tribe quests, a new dungeon, additional battle content, and job updates for PvP and PvE, along with New Game+ updates which will allow players to experience the A Realm Reborn scenario with their current character and level.
The new update will also add the third phase of the Ishgard Restoration, marking the return of Skybuilder Rankings with new items and achievements for players who make notable contributions to the restoration efforts.
A special bonus episode in the Creation of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers YouTube series is set to air on April 30th, focusing on the new YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse content, and will feature Naoki Yoshida, Yoko Taro, and Yosuke Saito as they discuss the NieR collaboration event, and what to expect from future installments.
