With E3 2020 cancelled and other conventions unlikely due to the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour, game publishers are exploring new ways to announce their upcoming releases to an eager public. To that end, 14 different publishers are participating in a brand-new online event, the New Game+ Expo, or NGPX, which will be streamed via Twitch on June 23rd. This "digital showcase" will begin airing at 8:00 AM PDT, and will run until 4 PM PDT, and features game announcements, Q&A sessions, and gameplay demos.
Some of the participating publishers ought to be very familiar to RPG fans. In particular, SEGA, Spike Chunsoft, Idea Factory, and NIS America are all hyping up the broadcast. Grasshopper Manufacture's own SUDA51 has also signal boosted the event, encouraging the gaming community to "get charged up while staying at home."
