It has been a very, very long time since the original Brigandine released. It's not even a crazy notion to say some of you reading RPGFan now in 2020 were wee babes in 1998 when Hearty Robin's strategy RPG Brigandine: The Legend of Forsena graced the PSone.
Later this month, over two decades after the first game, Kazuhiro Igarashi and a shockingly-talented team at Happinet are reviving what is now a series, with the release of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia on Nintendo Switch. RPGFan was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to talk about this game with Mr. Igarashi, on how it came to be, how he secured the team behind the new game, and much, much more.
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia launches next week on June 25th. Be sure to come back to RPGFan to read our review, and you'll even be able to enter to win a copy of the game yourself, so you won't want to miss out! Until then, check out everything that Mr. Igarashi had to say about this labor of love:
