Preprimer is a Falcom CD that contains "New Age" arrangements of classic tracks. These tracks are arranged by none other than the person who defined New Age Falcom, Michio Fujisawa. Her new age tracks are found on the Ys Perfect Collections, and they were so enjoyable that she got to create two CDs of this same style of music. This is one of them (Preprimer II is the other).

Each of these tracks only have four instruments being played. Piano, violin, viola, and cello. However, the CD credits multiple players for each instrument, leading me to believe there are more than one of each instrument in these tracks.

This CD is one of my favorite CDs, because it is simply the most relaxing music Falcom ever printed. If you know the original tracks, you can hum along to the melody. Otherwise, you can just enjoy the splendor of each relaxing melody. This CD could be a cure to most minor insomnia, no lie. The track lengths range from about 5 to 8 minutes. Every track is considerably slower than its original counterpart (i.e. every track is SLOW), but that definitely suits the mood this CD creates.

The samples should help give you an idea of what I'm talking about. If you enjoy it...well, you probably won't be able to find the original anywhere, but the reprint is readily available at Falcom's website for about $20.
