| I've been a gamer since birth. Some of my earliest memories involve the Atari 2600, a cheap joystick, and words that a five-year-old shouldn't even know. My first RPG, like many other Nintendo Power subscribers, was Dragon Warrior. I hated that game then and I hate it now. Thankfully, Final Fantasy showed me that all RPGs weren't horrible. After playing Final Fantasy IV, I became an RPG addict for life.
I first started coming to RPGFan in December 2001. My search for sound clips from game soundtracks brought me here, and the rest of the site kept me here. Sometime in July of 2003 I managed to con a few of the editors into letting me do fanfics. Somehow I convinced them that I could actually read and write. Suckers.
A year later, in July 2004, I took over the dormant Mailbag and made it into a decent hub of discussion, but then it crashed again. These days, I moderate our lovely message boards.
