It all began almost 30 years ago. One snowy Christmas in 1990 I unwrapped my first console, the Nintendo Entertainment System. A few years later I somehow ended up with a copy of Final Fantasy and from that moment on I became infatuated with RPGs. Throughout my teenage years and into adulthood I've owned all the mainstream consoles and have kept a capable PC close by.
My first and true passion remains the Final Fantasy franchise but I've grown to enjoy a number of different JRPGs, as well as several Western titles. Some of my personal favourites include Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, Dragon Age, or anything developed by Bethesda. I hold no specific preference of console and still enjoy going back to the 16-Bit era of the Super Nintendo, or the golden era of original soundtracks found on the original PlayStation. Most of my time these days has been spent playing RPGs on the go with my Switch or in beautiful 4K on my PC.
Changes in my life inspired me to enter the wonderful and fast-paced world of video game journalism in 2017, shortly after the release of the Nintendo Switch. I joined Nintendo World Report and began writing reviews as I learned the craft. Two years later and after about a hundred reviews, I'm now a Reviews Editor with NWR as well as the host of the RPG themed podcast The Thirsty Mage. Most recently you'll find my name on the back of an instruction manual that I designed for Super Rare Games for the physical release of the Fairune Collection. My hunger to play RPGs has brought me to RPGFan where I hope to help grow the YouTube channel and assist in bringing fun and entertaining videos to the fans.
