Video games have been part of my life since as long as I can remember. Being the awkward child that I was, they served as an amazing platform through which I could meet and befriend new people. Whether it was racing each other in Mario Kart, or blowing each other up in the favelas in Call of Duty, video games have always been an important social outlet for me.

And that's pretty much all they were to me for a while. My first RPG didn't come along until Assassin's Creed Brotherhood hit the shelves in 2010 and I picked up a copy of it for Christmas. Immediately, I was engrossed in the vast and beautifully saturated world that Brotherhood offered and sunk countless hours into exploring every nook and cranny. Since then, I've branched out into many other titles of the genre, from the absolutely zany world of Borderlands to the bleak world of Dark Souls, as they continue to — usually — surprise and impress me. I really do love seeing fully fleshed out worlds come to life as I play, and love seeing the game developers' passion and creativity drip from every facet of a game. Recently, visual novels have also been taking up a lot of my time, and have opened my eyes to just how fleshed out a story can be for a game.

I've pretty much traveled the globe in terms of places I've lived in, as I attended elementary and middle school in Germany, and spent my four years of high school at a boarding school in the States. Currently I'm planning on studying Electrical and Computer Engineering in Korea, and who knows what will come after that. Outside of video games and writing I also enjoy playing piano, watching an unhealthy amount of anime and playing football.
