I grew up in the SoCal area and have been playing video games since I was a kid. My first RPG was FFIV on the SNES. People say that game is way too easy, but for a kid who couldn't read, it was pretty tough lol. I always had fun discussing games with others. Since the general internet culture around gaming started to become very negative in the 2010s, I needed to find more welcoming communities for that purpose. Now I'm in my 30s and the love for gaming is still going strong! I joined the Phoenix Edge Podcast on YouTube to discuss RPGs and other general gaming news every week. It's been great so far and now joining the RPGFan community, things should get even better. I don't have any real talents in the video game space, I just try to articulate my opinion and understand where other people are coming from with theirs. I try to stay positive! My day job is a typical 9-5 in a cubicle. Not much exciting there... In my other spare time I've been trying to write more structured topics about storytelling in games. I've also been trying to design a couple of boardgames (a lot harder than it sounds!).
...and I really hope they don't screw up the Final Fantasy VII Remake (FFVII is my favorite game).
