Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Until September

The future has been delayed a few months. CD Projekt Red announced that their highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 will now release on September 17th, 2020.

Originally scheduled for April, the new release date ensures that the team will be able to playtest and polish the game before it’s release. In their statement, CD Projekt Red said, “We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive – full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing.”

This announcement comes right on the heels of another high profile delay, the Final Fantasy VII Remake. The benefit of such delays helps both the developers smooth out their games and gives us players more time to play other games!
