Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the latest installment of Coming This Week with RPGFan! Can you believe it’s already March? Time flies when you’re engrossed in your favorite video games! We have a couple of big-ticket items on the docket for this week. Let’s get started.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus – March 3rd (PS4)
Now, this is what I’m talking about! Admittedly, I know next to nothing about Granblue Fantasy. I’m also kind of terrible at fighting games. However, I’m sorely tempted to give this one a try after looking at all of that luscious animation! Thanks to the good folks over at XSEED, Granblue Fantasy: Versus makes its Western debut this Tuesday, bringing an expansive roster of characters from the overseas megahit Granblue Fantasy franchise to cutting-edge life.
Lost Horizon – March 4th (Switch)
Historical fiction never really goes out of fashion, and here we have a game from 2010 done in the style of 1990s point-and-click adventure games that’s set in 1936. Play as a smuggler and former British soldier and thwart members of the Third Reich as they try to track down occult weapons. Travel the historical world and go to Tibet! This ticks all the boxes for a certain gaming experience, so if it’s your cup of Po Cha, you can take this now portable game around the world with you.
Afterparty – March 6th (Switch)
From the creators of Oxenfree, Afterparty is a trippy little adventure game wherein you’ll have to outdrink the Devil himself. Players step into the shoes of Milo and Lola, two best friends who have died and find themselves stuck in Hell. Kind of a messed-up situation, right? Well, assuming they can solve the mystery of why they’re there in the first place and beat Satan at a drinking game, they’ll be able to return to Earth. It’s one… heck of a premise, and Nintendo Switch owners can experience this particular party on March 6th.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX – March 6th (Switch)
One of the surprise announcements from earlier this year was a full-on remake of the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. Packed into one game with even more content, Rescue Team DX is an all-new way to experience a beloved game. Plus, you get to be a Pokémon in this one! How cute is that?
And that’s all, folks! Stay tuned to RPGFan for more details on your favorite games. We’ll catch you next time. Continue training to be the very best, like no one ever was.
