The demo consists of the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission and features Cloud and Barret as playable characters. Square Enix noted that save data from the demo will not carry over to the full game and that the demo may differ from the mission in the final release.

However, there will be an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme given to players who download the demo before May 11th. The theme will be available alongside the game’s launch.

In other Remake news, in interview with the game’s co-director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Red XIII is not playable in the remake’s first installment. Instead, he will be featured as a guest character later in the story.
