Coming This Week, 4/13/20

Hello, dear readers, and welcome back to Coming This Week at RPGFan. As always, I hope you’re staying safe and healthy out there. While many of us are busy exploring the city of Midgar in the newly released Final Fantasy VII Remake, there are still some new releases to take note of this week. So, let’s talk about them!

Etheldia Pepper – April 14th (Windows)

With a name like Etheldia Pepper, you might be expecting some kind of vegetable-themed dating sim, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. No, as it turns out, this game is a monster-collecting RPG in the vein of Pokémon, although it also takes some cues from Final Fantasy. The game features over 60 recruitable characters, and is described as having “almost infinite replayability.” If indie Pokémon clones are your jam, give this one a look!

Fallout 1st – April 14th (PS4, XB1, Windows)

Say what you will about Fallout 76: after its disastrous launch, Bethesda has at the very least made a concerted effort to improve the game and support its community. The Wastelanders update recently dropped and added a whole bunch of new content to the game, and now the Fallout 1st premium service is going live. If you’ve stuck with Fallout 76 after all this time and want even more value out of the game, now is the time to sign up!

The Fox Awaits Me – April 16th (Switch)

Inari! Who let you star in a visual novel? The Fox Awaits Me is a visual novel from developer COSEN, and focused on protagonist Kaito’s fateful encounter with a fox girl named Shua. The game features multiple choices that can lead to tragic, comedic, and terrifying circumstances for its characters. This one’s definitely worth a shot if you’re into visual novels or adventure games!

And that’s a wrap, folks! Keep an eye on RPGFan for more coverage of your favorite games. I’ll see you next time for some Mana goodness and more.
