The quest to defeat the Mechonis in Xenoblade Chronicles is a long and arduous one. With Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, you can witness what happens once the quest is complete. Focusing on Shulk and Melia, Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected takes place a year after the main game’s ending.
Players who beat the original Xenoblade Chronicles will be happy to hear that they don’t have to play over 100 hours to experience the new epilogue! Future Connected will be available immediately for players to experience without having to beat the main game beforehand.
However, missing from Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be the new features that were added to the New 3DS version of the game. The Collection Mode featured a jukebox to listen to the game’s soundtrack and a model viewer. In order to unlock tracks and models, players had to either use the Shulk Amiibo, tokens earned by using the 3DS’s Streetpass feature, or Play Coins.
Xenoblade Chronicles releases for the Nintendo Switch on May 29th, 2020. Stay tuned to RPGFan as we get closer to the game’s release date!
