Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is nearly upon us, and that isn’t stopping Monolith Soft from feeding us more information about the game! One of the latest updates to the official Japanese Xenoblade Twitter account is an addition of a Time Attack Mode!

Similar to the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Land of Challenge DLC, Shulk and friends are whisked away through a glowing portal to the Time Attack mode. There, the Nopon Archsage will present a series of timed challenges that feature waves of enemies.

Challenges are split between two methods: Free and Limited. Free challenges allow the player to put together a party of their choosing to take on the mission. On the other hand, Limited challenges assign specific conditions, level restrictions, and party members. More challenges are added as you progress through the game.

Upon completing a mission, you are evaluated and given Noponstones based on your ranking. Again just like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you can then use these Noponstones to unlock new equipment and gems. This new equipment features new costumes for the characters, such as pineapple Riki!
