Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Coming “Soon” to PS4, Switch, Xbox One and PC

A dragon breathes mighty flame as the hero leaps toward him, sword drawn.

New Game+ Expo has dished out tons of rad announcements today, but one of the biggest surprises on the block is Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. Introduced by the legendary Koji Igarashi, this sequel to 2018’s excellent 8-bit Curse of the Moon brings players back into the role of Far Eastern swordsman Zangetsu. Joining him are the exorcist, Dominique, and two brand new characters: the sharpshooter, Alfred; and please be excited Hachi, a Welsh corgi living inside a suit of magical armor.

Over the course of the story, you’ll unlock multiple playable “episodes” which each further the narrative in unique ways. You’ll need to unlock them all in order to see the game’s true ending. With plenty of new combat skills and the ability to swap between recruited allies at any time, even the grimdark world of Bloodstained will be a challenge you can capably overcome.

Although there’s only been a single, cryptic word on a release date thus far — “Soon” — developer Inti Creates has launched the game’s official site, so stay tuned to RPGFan for plenty more frighteningly cool Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 coverage.
