The cast of Fairy Tail are coming to the rescue in game form! Gust and Koei Tecmo announced several new magic abilities that will help your JRPG journey through the world of Fairy Tail.

Witness the magical abilities in the latest trailer for Fairy Tail below:

A powerful attack in both the manga and anime, Unison Raid combines the might of two characters. Now, you can perform Unison Raid attacks with combinations not seen in the series.

For example, check out one of the new Unison Raid abilities, designed by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima himself, in the video below:

Along with Unison Raids, players can expect a variety of magic to help them in battle. Extreme Magic Spells are powerful spells that are formed from combining magic attacks together, such as Kanna’s “Fairy Glitter.” Other spells include Makarov’s “Giant” magic and a special spell named Exceed Special that can help in a dire situation. Each spell has its own attributes and elemental properties. These spells can be upgraded as you grow stronger.

Using all of these spells increases your party’s Awakening Gauge. Reaching its limit, your party will have a whole slew of new spells to unleash on your enemies. Furthermore, each character has their own Awakening Mode.

Fairy Tail releases on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 31st, Windows PC via Steam on July 30th. Stay tuned to RPGFan as we get closer to the game’s release date!
