Star Wars: The Old Republic Makes the Jump to Steam

Ever since it launched in December 2011, Star Wars: The Old Republic has been tempting diehards of A Galaxy Far, Far Away into filing away thousands of hours of their lives as noble Jedi, vicious Sith, cunning bounty hunters and more. As of 2020, BioWare’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game serves up an entirely free-to-play option, and updates to the story and side activities continue to be released.

Now the adventure has a new home on Steam. The world’s most popular PC games client is the kind of place that folks tend to hope every game pops up on eventually, and though it’s been close to a decade since TOR‘s debut, this move will no doubt incentivize a fair few galactic rookies to unwisely upset a Wookiee.
