Reader’s Choice Voting – The Best RPG of Every Year Since 1986

The Best RPGs of Every Year Since 1986 Featured

It’s time to have your voice heard! In about a month, we will be running a feature where the staff chooses the best RPG of every year since the release of Dragon Quest, with a too-literal working title of “The Best RPG of Every Year Since 1986.” Similar to our Games of the Year features, this isn’t just about our voice, it’s also about yours! Reader’s votes will be revealed alongside our top picks for every year.

Note: We are basing this on each game’s Japanese release date, so if a year seems off from what you’re expecting, that’s probably why!

You don’t have to vote in every category, but the more votes a category gets, the better it represents our readers. Every category includes an “Other” option, just in case your choice isn’t on the list.

Don’t delay – voting is only open for a week! We will be collecting your picks until 11:59pm EST on September 20th, 2020.

Voting is now closed! Look for the results in a future article!

Be part of the conversation and join us on our Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The polls are missing a few important games. For example, dragon's dogma, dragon quest x, and wasteland 2.
