Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Piano Collection Coming to Japan

As a tie-in to last year’s momentous launch of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition — which may or may not be your thing — Square Enix has announced a new album centered on 10 standout tracks, all in snazzy, quasi-jazzy piano style.

The album, officially titled Piano Collections FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES, is up for pre-order with a targeted release date of April 7th. Square Enix has done us all a solid with a short promotional trailer showcasing Kumi Tanioka’s exquisite sounds.

At present, seven tracks are known. Doubtless, Square Enix is keeping fans on tenterhooks [Editor’s Note: I’m glad you know this expression, Quinton; now we all can.] as we await news of the last three. “Please be excited.” Admit it, you heard it, too.

“Morning Sky”
“The Village Where It Began”
“Setting Forth”
“The Midst of Sorrow’s Gloom”
“Promised Grace”
“Monster Ronde”
“Moonless Starry Night”

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is out now on PS4, Switch, Android, and iOS. If you’re on the fence about scooping it up for a nostalgic (or inaugural) play, you can read RPGFan’s official review, courtesy of one Greg Delmage, right here. While Greg had some real issues with the unclear story and needlessly complicated systems, he admires the visuals and soundtrack. All the more reason to consider picking up this upcoming piano album, I reckon!
