NIS America and developer FuRyu have released the first trailer for The Caligula Effect 2, introducing its setting, characters, and story where high schoolers trapped within a simulation must reclaim their lives, their memories, and fight for a better future.

Check out the age-restricted trailer on Youtube!

The Caligula Effect 2 centers on the actions of a nameless protagonist caught within a simulation created by a virtuadoll A.I program known as Regret. Within this simulation, they choose to contend against Regret and the Obbligato Musicians, a faction set on maintaining the simulation and false status quo. But, no success was ever achieved entirely alone, and alongside the protagonist stands the Go-Home Club, comprised of people who wish to return to reality, in stylish, anime-infused fashion.

The Caligula Effect 2 is slated to release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Fall 2021 worldwide. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news RPG!
