You know, rats often get a bad rep as far as animals go but they are tenacious survivors and, if upcoming action RPG Tails of Iron is anything to go by, they can be fierce warriors as well. Taking on the role of the new heir to the throne, players must fight their way through brutal hordes of enemies to save a land threatened by deadly frogs. The graphics are gorgeously hand drawn, and Tails of Iron‘s world is described as being deceptively “charming,” which makes sense given the dissonance between animal warriors and a grimly harsh plot boasting a nuanced and robust combat system at its core.

Tails of Iron will release some time in 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. A Steam page is already up for perusal, and the game will also have physical copies available.
