During their E3 2021 showcase, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics shed more light on the upcoming DLC expansion for action RPG Marvel’s Avengers and gave us a shiny new cinematic trailer!
Oh boy, I don’t know about you guys but this is honestly the most excited I’ve been for a Marvel’s Avengers announcement in a long while! Regrettably, I think most gamers have lost interest in the game’s multiplayer, and its intermittent story DLCs haven’t enticed many players to come back yet. Perhaps War for Wakanda might just be the persuasive hook needed to gain gamers’ attention once more.
This story expansion sees the Avengers traveling to Wakanda, where they will team up with T’Challa, the heroic Black Panther, to battle the nefarious Klaw. It should be noted that not only will players be able to finally play as Black Panther himself, but will also be able to do so at no extra cost; the DLC is free for those who have purchased the base game. Marvel’s Avengers is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Microsoft Windows, and Google Stadia. Black Panther: War for Wakanda for is scheduled for an August 2021 release date.
