Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Benchmark Available Now, Digital Codes Sold Out

A male Viera, or bunny boy, in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.

Prepare your bunny boys! Square Enix released the benchmark for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, allowing players to assess if their PCs can handle all of the awesomeness packed into the latest expansion to the popular MMORPG.

Watch the Endwalker benchmark trailer below for a look at the game in action:

The benchmark provides the following features:

  • Character creator that includes the new male Viera option. Characters created in the benchmark can be imported into the full release of Endwalker.
  • High definition 4K (3840×2160) support.
  • 51 channel surround sound.
  • Multi-language support in Japanese, English, German and French.
  • SLI and CrossFire support.

As a reminder, the benchmark is not a trial version of the game. You will need to purchase Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker to fully partake in the new expansion, which is out on November 23rd. (Or 19th if you pre-order!) You can download the benchmark for free from FFXIV‘s official website right now.

Final Fantasy XIV is experiencing its biggest boom right now, with the popular World of Warcraft streamer Asmongold jumping ship, and Endwalker pre-orders at an all-time high for the MMORPG. So much so that it’s causing servers to be more congested than usual, and digital codes for PS4 and PC have sold out, which users on Reddit discovered overnight. This is unprecedented for the game, but it looks like Square Enix has taken note, with one ResetEra user sharing a translation from the FFXIV Discord that confirms they’re looking at investing in the server infrastructure. We won’t see that before the subsequent expansion releases, though.
